Hardware

Do I need to buy a POS terminal or special hardware? No. Biga runs in the browser and works with what you already have: any touchscreen, tablet or phone with a browser. No proprietary terminals, no hardware lock-in.

Which printers work? Standard ESC/POS receipt printers, connected over network (TCP/IP) or USB. They handle both kitchen tickets and fiscal receipts. To set them up, see Kitchen & KDS.

Can I take orders from my phone? Yes. The waiter takes the order on their phone (the order-taker app) right at the table, and the delivery driver has their own app. The same phone you already carry in your pocket.

Service and payment

I tapped “Charge” and nothing happens. There’s probably no cash session open. Go to Cash management and open one. Charging always requires an open cash session.

The “Charge” button is greyed out. There are dishes still waiting to be sent to the kitchen. Tap Send first; once nothing is pending, you’ll be able to charge.

The customer wants to split the bill in half. Use Split equally (an exact even split) or Charge a custom amount (for different amounts). See The POS.

I added a dish by mistake. Tap it on the order and remove it. If it has already gone to the kitchen, you’ll be asked for a reason (it gets logged).

Invoicing

The customer wants an invoice with a tax ID after paying. Turn the receipt into a B2B invoice from Invoicing → Sales → Orders tab, as long as it’s within the same fiscal quarter. See Invoicing.

I can’t find the list of B2B invoices. It’s under Invoicing → Sales → B2B invoices tab.

Can I resend an invoice by email? Not automatically for now: download the PDF and send it yourself (email, WhatsApp).

Language and documents

I changed the language but the tickets are still in Catalan. That’s the current behaviour: the language only changes the interface. Tickets and emails are issued in Catalan for now.

Printing

The printer isn’t producing tickets. Check that the agent shows as Online in Printers → Agents, that the printer is switched on and has paper, and look for any tasks in Error under Printers → Tasks (you can tap Retry). See Kitchen & KDS.

Account and security

How do I change the administrator PIN? In Settings → Security. It asks for your account password and the new PIN. See Settings.

I forgot my account password. On the device login screen, type your email and tap the “Forgot your password?” link. Biga sends you an email with a link that takes you to the screen to set a new one (/reset-password). If the account has two-factor authentication (MFA) enabled, it will ask for the code from your authenticator app first. You no longer need to contact Biga for this.
