What the print agent is
For Biga to print tickets on your printers, a small program (Biga Agent) must be installed on the local’s Windows computer. It runs in the background, starts automatically with the computer and restarts itself if needed. You install it once per venue.
You need: a Windows computer at the venue, on during service and with internet, with the ticket printer connected (USB or network) and installed in Windows.
Installation (recommended: installer)
- In the back-office, go to Settings → Printers → Agents.
- Click “Download the agent” — downloads the installer (
Biga-Agent-Setup.exe). - Click “Link agent” → “Download configuration (auto)” — downloads your
configuration file (
cz-bridge-provision.json). - Put both files in the same folder on the venue’s computer and run the installer (accept the Windows prompt).
- Within seconds, the agent shows in Agents as Online (green). Done.
The agent links itself using the configuration file: no code to type. The file is single-use and deletes itself afterwards.
Add the printer
- Settings → Printers → New printer.
- Choose the agent (the computer you installed).
- In the printer field, pick it from the dropdown: Biga has already detected the ones connected to that computer.
- Set the type: Kitchen (orders) or Receipt (customer tickets).
- Save. For the kitchen one, Biga already routes every category to it — you can fine-tune later under Routes.
Do a test print and you’re set.
If something’s not working
- Not showing “Online”: check the computer is on and has internet; try restarting it (the agent starts again on its own).
- Not printing: make sure the printer is on, has paper, and has the correct type (Kitchen/Receipt).
- Change computer or reinstall: repeat the installation; if needed, revoke the old agent in Agents → Revoke.
